Cleo (adopted October 2012)

Hi, my name is Cleo, and, yes, I’m royalty. I’m a force of nature, a power to be reckoned with. I’m living the good life overseeing my queendom, reigning over my slaves with a stern but gentle paw. Did I say slaves? I did? Ooops, I meant humans, of course. My humans and my husbun, Higgins. I haven’t always been so lucky. At one point in my life I was living in the streets, desperately trying to find food and shelter. Two kind ladies got me off the streets and set me up at this really nice halfway house they called rescue. That is where I had my babies, all 8 of them. I think I did a pretty good job raising them and teaching them manners, but I hear 6 of them are still at the rescue. Won’t you stop by and see if they want to live with you? I promise they’ll be lots of fun. One day, my human dad came to visit from Afghanistan and saw my plight raising 8 kids by myself (oh, okay, Mary helped. A lot. Okay, a WHOLE lot!). He recognized me for the awesome bun that I am. So when the rug rats were old enough to live on their own, I packed my bags and moved in with my new mom and dad. Training them took no time at all, but getting the resident male bunny in line was a little difficult at first. Sooner or later, he, too, couldn’t resist my persuasiveness, uh, charm, and so we are living happily ever after. Mom tells me all the time how much she loves me, and I sometimes let her brush my fur as a reward.
